Y’all know green* is my signature color.

*And that I would have made that word green if I could change font colors within my posts.IMG_20140411_132137

So, would it be surprising if I found myself tantalized by something that not only looked green (and made everything else it touched–including my fingers–green as well)…IMG_8363 (1024x683)

…but also smelled and tasted “green” in an subtle, earthy way?IMG_9323 (1024x683)

Sweetened with honey and ginger–IMG_7349 (1024x683)

–or coconut milk yogurt, in oatmeal…IMG_9285 (1024x683)

…mixed into a smoothie with bananas…IMG_7597 (1024x682)

…or blended up into a spreadable edamame and yogurt dip…IMG_9131 (1024x683)

…this Kiss Me Organics Green Tea Matcha Powder adds its concentrated, green tea flavor to whatever it touches.IMG_7500 (1024x683)

Lucky me, the company sent me a 4 oz. package of matcha–sold exclusively at Amazon.com– and–hear* this–are now offering one of YOU a free bag of matcha green tea powder as well.

*See what I’ve done here? ;) kissmeMATCHA

I’d definitely want to make a matcha smoothie, but I love oatmeal & would be tempted to make up a recipe using matcha. Maybe matcha berry?

Again, I love that you took it outside the traditional realm as a drink and ended up using the green tea in your meals instead. Very impressive.

I think I would have to start slowly with Tea and smoothies…. Then gradually get more adventurous. I have never used this before. I have been drinking more tea and this has been intriguing me.

I absolutely love matcha, especially the combo of matcha and sweetened red beans, which is delicious! I would cook red beans on the stove in advance, sweetened either by dates or honey. An easy way to make the combo is to make matcha almond-milk latte (thick in consistency) and swirl a couple of spoons of cooked red beans, enjoy it with your spoon! Or if I want something more filling, I will make matcha rice pudding or oatmeal, and stir the red beans midway. The slight bitter taste of matcha balances perfectly against red beans’ sweetness. Plus the chunky texture of the beans matches the smoothness of tea as well. Try it and thank me later :)
