Caramelized Banana Walnut Peanut Butter

Caramelized Banana Walnut Peanut Butter

  • 1 1/2 cups shelled walnuts
  • 1 cup banana chip
  • 3/4 cup dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 Tbsp. turbinado sugar
  • 3/4 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Toast walnuts for 8-10 minutes.
  3. Combine 1 cup walnuts and all banana chips and peanuts in a food process. Process until smooth.
  4. Add sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Process until well incorporated.
  5. Add remaining walnuts. Pulse until chopped and evenly distributed.IMG_3394 (1024x683)

I made this today (well kind of…I used mostly peanuts) and it was amazing! Such a great idea to use banana chips. I had a bag of them sitting around for a while since I don’t really like them on their own and this was the perfect way to use them up! And I love the cinnamon-banana combination. I really love nut butter recipes because I prefer making my own fun flavors to store bought. Thanks for the recipe!
