I got so excited because I thought you were going to reveal the secret recipe! I have been savoring my jar of this crack-like substance. Every time I walk by it, I stick my finger in for a scoop. Can I order more when I run out?!

Oh my gosh, I’ve been doing the same thing! I keep taking little bites straight from the jar because I don’t want it to end!!

I saw Lindsay’s jar of this on her instagram the other day and immediately came to your site to find the recipe!! I was excited this morning when I saw the title of the post…hopefully you’ll share your secret soon enough :) You’ve inspired me to make a batch of mixed nut butter (unfortunately I don’t have all the ingredients for your original nutty butter on hand…).

By the way, I’m a VA blogger too! I’m up in the northern part of the Shenandoah Valley.

Um…that looks frigging amazing. And the GG reference? Well that just made me go from new reader to completely in love in one fell swoop.

SO now…where the heck can I get me some of that?!

I should be offering nut butter direct from The Smart Kitchen to you in the next couple of weeks…stay tuned. :)

PS I’m glad that Gossip Girl made you fall in love with my blog. Not everyone understands my lasting obsession.

Whew…otherwise I would have had to seek you out using clues from your blog and then that shit would get REAL creepy. ;) <–please note, New England sarcasm present.

I both understand AND appreciate your obsession.

Tease!

My cookie dough nutty butter never made it to an apple. Baby spoons fit in the mini jars just fine.

Sarah May 13, 2012 at 6:04 pm

I don’t really ever put my nut butter on anything. Maybe the occasional bowl of oatmeal. Maybe.

I find that chopstick-to-mouth is the best method of consumption.

Looks delicious! I really like the little jars you use for the nut butter! What kind are they? I’m on the search for good gift size jars. :o )

Sarah May 13, 2012 at 6:03 pm

Those jars come from the wedding section of Michael’s! Find out what day they restock as they tend to fly off the shelves pretty quickly…

I’m not going to ask you to give your recipe (since I know you won’t :) ) but can you tell me this- is there added sugar? (Except for the choc chips) OR have you compiled the nutritional stats?
Man… it sounds good.
