Even if you didn’t win my randomly Roald Dahl inspired OXO giveaway (or don’t win the “I Heart My State” Honey Roasted Peanut Butter giveaway) never fear, because you’ve all still unknowingly stumbled upon your very own Golden Ticket.
You see, even though Matilda might be my favorite Roald Dahl novel, and I might encounter The BFG BFS daily, it is hard to deny the joy of Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (even after it was turned into a creepy movie,* not once…but twice.)
*Seriously, do not try and tell me Gene Wilder singing as the boat sails through the tunnel is not just a little irksome.
I am, in fact, reading Charlie & The Chocolate Factory to my first grade students right now. [And having to edit for Wonka's occasionally very grown up language...trust me, you don't want to have to explain the phrase "silly a$%" to a six-year-old.]
But forget about that, the real question is:
What do you get with your Golden Ticket?
Well, nothing more (or less) than your very own chocolate river.
(A chocolate river of macadamia-and-coconut-butter, to be more specific.)
After all, macadamia nuts on their own make for a delicious butter.
Add some vanilla extract and a pinch of sugar, and you’ve really just got cake frosting on your hands (or spatula, as the case may be).
So, when you melt together coconut butter and dark chocolate…
…it’s really quite inevitable that even MORE Wonka-esque magic should happen.
I tell you what: the Oompa Loompas are definitely going to have to pick both me AND Augustus out of “the most delicious fudge,” because I’m pretty sure I’m following Augustus straight into this chocolate river and up the pipe.

Hopefully I’ll still fit once I’m done with this.*
*Who am I kidding? It’s already all gone.
Macadamia Choc-oconut Butter

Process until smooth and river-like.

Wow…that looks incredible!
Why do you do these things to me first thing in the morning? Now I’m going to be craving chocolate and nut butter all day. Oh wait… I do that anyway…
Yum. I love a good book/movie with a happy ending. Hope I didn’t spoil it for anybody! Chocolate Nut butter – yum, yum, yum. A river of chocolate – OK. I’ll take it!
i always loved the original willy wonka movie!
i’ll take a golden ticket if it’ll get me some of that macademia nut butter – it looks ridiculous! (in a good way….)
I’ve made macadamia nut butter before but loved it so much plain that I’ve never added chocolate – I’m sure it’s amazing!
This was such a cute post
So funny.
And the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie? It freaked me out. The orange oompa loompas scared me…they were so creepy. I still refuse to watch it. I do like the newer one, though, with Johnny Depp.
Oh.my.gosh….this looks awesome!! Now I have to restrain myself from making it, because it looks like one of those things I’d eat the whole batch at once!
Oooh. My Goodness.
You’ve really done it this time.
Bookmarked, this WILL be made
Girl you are a nut butter machine. I am requesting that you bring a jar of this to blend. Please and thank you
My mom had a professor that looked like Gene Wilder. I loved going to class with her just to watch him. He was a little loopy like Wonka too.
