Happy Second Blog Day [Brunch] To Me!

Happy Second Blog Day (Brunch) To Me![Or, well, my blog.]You mean it’s not normal to use empty Trader Joe’s Almond Butter jars for silverware?[It seemed fitting to me...]Also fitting? A candle in the hummus. :) Although it was a tough call to decide whether the pimiento cheese actually deserved the candle-bearing honor…

Love Grown Granola sent me ALL five of their granolas for the celebration, and it made a nice partner for the Chobani Champions and my Smart Kitchen Vanilla Chai Yogurt. And I finally used my monogrammed wine glasses.* [Only six years after I received them.]

*This was, of course, more out of necessity than desire. But, when lacking sufficient glassware, I say just serve all your drinks in wine glasses and call it “celebratory.”

Gifts were given…..and received! Many friends came out celebrate, including Kath, Elizabeth, Rachel, and Liz.*

*Gentleman callers were also in attendance, but…….this picture was better. ;)

Alex was also there in salad [Er, I mean...spirit...]*But that story–and the behind the scenes of Blog Day Brunch–will have to wait until another day.Two year olds require very early bedtimes.

Happy 2nd Birthday to my favorite blogger!

Have a blog b-day party is such a cool idea! I love that you had a yogurt-granola bar AND that you used PB jars as silverware holders. I may have to copy that idea. :)

I wish you could have been here, too! I was channeling you all weekend…and I talked about how I’m constantly in awe of your ability to throw parties so effortlessly. I guess I just need more practice. :)

As for the glasses, the only reason I haven’t used them is I was so scared of breaking them! When my roommate picked one up yesterday I literally warned her that they were irreplacable and she better not drop it by accident…it’s the “good China syndrome”:never using your nice objects for fear of ruining them!

Cheers to you on two great years! And the pictures (of the food AND the company) put a big grin on my face! For the record, the hummus candle is my fave. :)

You were there in spirit, though! I actually did talk about both you AND Big Guy…we were discussing my Culinary Bucket List and I was telling everyone about our co-post with steak grilling. :)

I use old jam jars for everything, so a peanut butter jar seems natural to me :) Looks like a lovely event, happy 2nd blog bday!
