In honor of the fourth installment of Yucks & Yums, I decided to call in Marvel Comic heroes: The Fantastic Four.
Interestingly enough, there are (fantastic) four YUM categories this week, and NO YUCKS! [Well, unless you count the yucks of laughter and amusement that will undoubtedly commence in a moment.]
Yummy…
Yummier…
Yesterday, one of my small children walked into my classroom and immediately took off both of his shoes. Then he proceeded to empty them out into the trashcan, sit back down, then stand back up and empty them out again. He never explained, and I didn’t ask.
Later that morning, another student randomly yelled out “Chimichanga!” for no apparent reason. It was all I could do not to burst out laughing.
Me: “Of course!”
SC: “Here you go.”
*Fun Factoid: Every time I had to do a biography in elementary school, I chose Ben Franklin. I’m still not sure why. Perhaps his knack for witticisms?
In one of the books we were reading, I came across this line: “What is this Invisible, Inc.? Kids can’t be incorporated!” My thought? Yes. Yes they can.
Yesterday, I discovered this written on the top of one of my student’s papers.Clearly, they know I am a closeted rock star.
Local, Austin-made, Out-to-Lunch hummus….in a super-lemony fresh Spinach & Artichoke….…and an interestingly delicious combination, and definitely having a kick (!), Chipotle Sundried Tomato.
Random, unexpected coupons….
…which clearly require immediate action.
And pumpkins! (Please note my awesome shadow in the photo…)
Me: Why wouldn’t I take pictures of pumpkins?
THIS pumpkin! I laugh in the face of you, pumpkin shortage!!!!! [Although I did warn the checkout person that she might also want to stock up.]
And stock up I did!
Yum #4: Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers!
The reason I will not be doing a “live” post tonight is because for Month-of-Me Celebration #24 I will be spending some quality time with my favorite band in the world.
Words cannot even express how I feel about the SK6ers.
Although I’ll probably try using them to do so tomorrow.
