Here we go again…the second installment of Yucks & Yums!
Yum to finally getting to teach kids this week. I love watching their brains work! (And the random hugs and high-fives and “Hi Ms.Pember” shy waves in the hallway.)
Yum to the combination of dark chocolate chips and blood orange sorbet. [My roommates' tried to yuck this yum, but I am proving them wrong! It's scrumptastic.*]
*Has anyone else ever had the Edy’s/Dreyer’s orange sherbet with the chocolate chips mixed in? I think it’s called Swiss Orange or something like that. I used to eat it when I was younger, and I guess my love of orange and chocolate together stems from that.
Yum to Orbit Maui Melon Mint! I love you and your sweet packaging.
Yuck to this Pink Lady apple, purchased on sale from HEB, that was not crisp and juicy the way you expect a Pink Lady to be…
…but YUM to the fact that it is almost apple season!
Yum to Figgy Plumtastic Overnight Oats with orange marmalade and walnuts.
(Still delicious after four days in the fridge. Those should be called loooong weekend oats if you ask me.)
Yum to going to a Mexican restaurant with my co-workers during a break in our all-day training session this week…
…and eating my own, pre-packed lunch instead of spending unnecessary cash and/or dealing with a Mexican food coma for the rest of the afternoon.
Double Yum for taking the unwanted guacamole and pico de gallo….
….and adding them to my ensalada!

Yuck to Halloween merchandise already being available in stores. (I would like to note that this photograph was taken prior to September 1st.)
…but minor yum, because I do love Halloween.

I’m also not Irish. [Mouths drop in confusion.] Nope, the red hair either came from the mailman, or from a Scottish ancestor. I do like to pretend to be Irish on St. Patrick’s Day though.
